I’ve had just a horrible week with some very scary situations going on.  I even had to change my whole life around it was so scary.  But today I was listening to my ipod and the song “Rescue” by newsong was on and I was opening my Bible to read for the morning and it is amazing how God Shows up to let you know HE IS THERE!  This was the first verses that showed up while I was listening to that song and not to mention I had them undlerlined!  I knew God was right there with me protecting me all the step of the way.  Then the very next song Was “On time God”!  God is just Awesome!

Psalmed 59: 1-3

Resuce me frommy enemies, O God. Protect me from those who have come to destroy me. 2 Rescue me from these murders.  3. They have set an ambush for me. Fierce enemies are out there waiting though I have done them no wrong.  O Lord.

Today Danny and Celebrate our 8th Wedding anniversary.  Although we’ll have to put off the celebrating till later, but I’m thinking of him all day long.  I miss him so much today.  He told me yesterday it didn’t feel like it was our Anniversary so we would just have to have it when he got home.  So even though today marks our our 8th Wedding anniversary to the love of my life and my best friend in the whole world.  I guess we’ll have a new day to count later. 

But I’ll never forget the day I married the man of my dreams on March 10, 2001 in a little church in Mississippi.  He even almost cried.  Happy Anniversary Baby! 

Well, I’ve got to still this one from Forrest Gump. 

 As I was lying in bed last night thinking my kids were finally all well and Emily and myself weren’t going to get sick….! it happened.   Bamm!  She got sick!   All I could pray was “God I know now life is like a box of Chocolates you really do never know what you are going to get, but you could you please give me one where all my children are well?”  I know that may sound awful, but we’ve all been stuck in this house since last Sunday and are all about to go stir crazy.  We are all like those little birds that want out of their cage and they can see the way out but can’t there, so they start chewing their wings off.    Quite descriptive I know but, it is hard when Daddy is gone and you suddenly become a single mom.  Yesterday I just wanted to crawl under the covers and start the whole day over or at least wait till Monday came thinking it would be better.  Well, at 1am this morning I couldn’t have been more wrong.  Then my alarm went off at 6am to get Ethan up for school, well, 20 more min. won’t hurt right.  I must have hit the wrong buttton because the next thing I know it is 7am and I am jumping out of bed to get him dressed and throwing on my sweat shirt with my night pants.  We drive half way to school with just a peak through spot in the windshild because it was so cold it hadn’t had time to defrost yet.  Emily is crying because she can’t go to her school.  I felt like I was in a sitcom!  Yes, the joy of being a military wife.  You learn to deal with everything that comes your way.  I’ve learned one thing by being a military wife.  I can live without my husband, BUT I DON”T WANT TOOOOOO!!!!!

We are still around.  Since Danny’s been gone, it’s been crazy.  I do have lots to tell about Jeannie and my trip to DC, but it will be a bit later.  Seems I can’t keep my kids well.  Ethan now has the Flu so I’m sure we’ll all get it.  We’ve been sick about the whole winter it seems.  Keep us in your prayers that we won’t all end up with it.  I’ll update soon though.  Here’s a picture of our trip I’ll update more soon….

I have been sitting here all morning watching the inauguration.  Today I have to admit has been a great day for Black Americans.  And it is a day that is historical.  But I have to say I’m a bit nervous about what is to come to America in the years to come.  For I don’t have the same beliefs as President Obama, but I will pray for him. 

But as I watch the inauguration I felt as though I was watching a Civil Rights Ralley.  I know the presidents speech was suppose to be set to an America that isn’t united, but that isn’t the way it comes across.  As Rev. Rick Warren prayed half of the crowed didn’t even bow their head and pray, including Mrs. Obama!    Now I ask what is the big deal to have someone pray to God, if he doesn’t exisit as the Athisit believe.  Do they acutually think there could be someone up there that may do something?  Well, that is another blog.  On with this one…   Ok so then we get to hear Elizabeth Alexander to say a poem.  Only God will be able to tell me what that was really all about.  Because I don’t really have a clue.  But maybe my education isn’t high enough.  LOL!  I think it is suppose to be about the daily activites of America, but I’m just not sure what it had to do with the inauguration.(???)

 The worst part of it all was at the end when Rev. Joseph Lowery said the poorest exscuse for a prayer!   He actually set us back to the 60’s with this poor prayer or should we call it a speech as it really was!  The ending of his speech was:  “We ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get back, when brown can stick around, when yellow will be mellow, when the red man can get ahead, man, and when white will embrace what is right,”  And there was actually laughter during this time!  I was quite offended. 

He took us right back to Selma Alabama.  Well I hate to tell all of you that think that your life is going to be so much easier now.  You’ve had it the whole time right in your hands.  All you had to do was work for it just as President Obama has done.  It’s not a free hand out.  For the last at least 20-30 years all you have to do is get out and work, go to school and do it!  Stop blamming the whites for your problems!  Stop blaming the whites for your lack of education.  The Civil war was over long ago and slavery has ended.  It’s time to move forward and stop looking to the past.  If you want to make something of yourself get out and do something.  Stop looking to the goverment to be the ones to solve all your problems for you will be very dissappointed as you wait!

This has been a very trying week.  We’ve been to doctor after doctor and both my children have had bronchitis.    It’s hard going from being a full family to a single mom.  I had to skip church today and that makes me feel really lonely because I look forward to helping lead worship.  I love to worship and praise God.  But I’ll have to do that at home today.  As long as my children get well and I don’t get sick and maybe we’ll be there next week.  My kids cried this morning because they couldn’t go to church.  I’m so thankful they love going to church.  I’ve never said we have to it’s always they get to.  So it’s just a part of their weekly routine.  I miss my husband so keep him in your prayers.  But here’s my song for the day to keep me going and get over my lonelyness.  Oh, and thank God for my friend Nancy helping me out I don’t know what I would do without her.  She’s helped me out so much!  She’s my new sister up here!!!!  Love you girl!

It is amazing just home much faith our children how sometimes and how we as adults can learn from them.  This week I was talking with our youngest, Emily, about her Daddy being deployed.  She’s not very happy with him, because she thinks he’s leaving her.  But I explained he’s protecting her and is going to be keeping all of us and her friends safe.  But she’s still not happy.  Out of no wear, she looks at me and says, “Well, you know he’s gonna be ok, cause God’s gonna be walking with Daddy.”  I replied, “Yes, He is”  “He will keep Daddy safe.”    Emily then replied, “Well, you know God’s also gonna hold Daddy’s gun when he shoots the bad guys”.  Well, what do you say!  He did control the stone that David through at Goliath.   Out of the mouth of Babes.

We had our Christmas Play this weekend at church.  It was so cute!  It was called “I Believe”  Nancy our music director wrote it from the Natalie Grant Song “I Believe”.    Well, it was all kids so you know kids will be kids.    Well, we start out and the ones running the music got the songs mixed up.  It was suppose to start out with “The most Wonderful Time of the Year” We were all suppose to come out as towns people and greet everyone there and give them candy and wish them Merry Christmas.  Well…. They went Strait to “I Believe” I sang the song, but  I wasn’t in my correct spot.  I was at the back of the church.  I heard the music start and Nancy and I were talking about how that wasn’t the right song then the next thing I know she’s pushed me out the door.  She said she looked up as she was calling my name to come back and I was doing my pagent walk and singing in the correct spot.  We pulled it off.  No one knew but us that it had been mixed up.   Smooth sailing until….

The preschoolers came in.  They were so cute in their animal costumes.  Emily was a lamb and Ethan was a horse.  All were homemade costumes.  I was rather proude of my creativity.    Well,  During Jingle Bells this little girl who wasn’t even in the play decides to come up and stand with her sister, which was fine.    Then “I’m gettin Nothin for Christmas”  that same little girl went up on stage and started running around.  Her mom runs on stage with her other baby on her hip  grabs her then she gets loose and they run back across stage.  Finally go off stage.  Everyone thought it was planned.  During “O come Let Us Adore Him”  Emily and her little Friend Naiomi decide to go to the manger neil down and kiss baby Jesus.   “Silent Night” they come back and start doing a ballet Dance.  Kids what can you say.  They have their own way of worshiping.  It may not have gone exactly the way we had planned, but everyone thought it was.  Because of the way they worked it.  The rest went off without a hitch.  .     Got to love Kids!

These guys are just incredible!   They went to college about 12 years ago and the college got them back together and now they have a record deal.  They are called Straight no Chaser.  This was just too cool!
